QUELS SONT au bout d'un an les resultats de ce travail que nous poursuivons en plein milieu de la ville annamite ils sont tres encourageants... si l'on songe que nous avons souvent manque de temps pour le pousser aussi rapidement que nous aurions voulu le faire , si l'on pense aux dificultes multiples, exterieurs a l'oeuvre, qui ont ralenti notre effort et qui ont une repercussion sur notre oeuvre specialement durant l'ete 1923.
Certainement si nous n'avions eu aucune difficulte exterieure a l'oeuvre les resultats seraient autrement grands. Ce qui nous permet de l'affirmer c'est le veritable enthousiasme des jeunes gens lorsque Mr Monet commenca a leur parler des grandes questions religieuses. Il y avait la un elan qui s'est un peu ralenti devant les difficultes de l'oeuvre que nous n'avons pas pu naturellement cacher entierement . Ce qu'il faut dire c'est que malgre les plus grande dificultes l'oeuvre s'est poursuivie meme en mon absence et qu'elle progresse regulieremnt.

There was the impetus which has slowed somewhat to the difficulties of the work that we could not naturally hide completely. What you should say is that despite the greater difficulties the work continued even in my absence and that it is régulièremnt.
