La contre performance de l’Agriculture est causée par les passages du Cyclone Haruna dans le Sud du pays, et du Felleng à Alaotra Mangoro affectant la production rizicole dans ces régions qui sont parmi les greniers à riz de Madagascar (Morondava, Ambatondrazaka), et la propagation de l’invasion acridienne venant du Sud vers le centre du pays. Ainsi les hypothèses soutenant la prévision de 3,1% de croissance des activités agricoles ne sont plus retenues.
