Le secteur secondaire poursuit le chemin de la croissance en enregistrant un taux de 5,1% (contre
3,2% en 2011), propulsé par les performances de production de quelques branches. Ainsi, les industries extractives se démarquent avec une croissance estimée à 83,3% consécutive aux nouvelles productions en particulier celles du Sheritt. Les activités de la branche énergie connaissent un rebond de 3,9% du fait du
réaménagement progressif des infrastructures nationales de production hydroélectrique et du
développement de l’électrification rurale basée sur les énergies renouvelables dans certaines régions. Les agro-industries et les zones franches industrielles (ZFI) reprennent progressivement leurs activités et affichent respectivement des taux de croissance de 28,9% et 3,5%.
