Classification of clouds JDN / CloudScreener: methodologyEvery month, the JDN publishes in partnership with CloudScreener the ranking Performance / price / service level of the main clouds.Monthly ranking Performance / price / service levelThe general index is based on the average level of service, Performance, and price indices.Service level rankingsThe average level of service providers index is calculated based on a list of predefined quality criteria. These criteria fall into four categories: Presence geography, Certifications, SLA announced, wide range. The average service level index is the average of the indexes of these four categories. Each category has the same weighting in the calculation of the average index level of service. For geographic presences and certifications criteria, the index is calculated based on the completeness of the supplier against the criteriaFor the criterion of ALS: an index of 100 is attributed to an SLA of 100% and an index of 25 for a 99.5% SLA. A supplier providing no SLA would have an index of 0. The SLA of each provider index is calculated based on the position of SLA level provided in this value space. The index of wide range (in vCPU and Ram) is calculated based on the size of the templates offered by each provider.Ranking performanceCloudScreener indicators take into account the average values of the measures, as well as a coefficient of variation (gap type/medium), as well as a gold standard, considered State of the art by CloudScreener and Cedexis. In addition to the average performance of a provider, this coefficient allows to perceive the stability of infrastructure. The performance index for each criterion (off-grid) thus corresponds to the difference between the average value of the standard deviation and the State of the art value. This index is capped at 100 for any value beyond the standard.
