Today, I took off in the direction of the Canada! A journey somewhat special since it is at the invitation of the national office of tourism of the Canada. On 1 and 2 June, Toronto hosts the TBEX (Travel Blog Exchange) 2013, a high mass of the travel 2.0 which meets twice a year from hundreds of bloggers from around the world, representatives of the tourism sector, communication agencies... Two days of conferences and debates on travel blogging which is becoming a real job in its own right. On the occasion of this event, the tourist office has invited 28 bloggers in a dozen countries for a series of voyages of discovery of the Canada by train (cf map above, me I am the dark blue trace). I had the pleasure to be selected, with Adeline. A super opportunity to discover this vast country that I do not yet know, and also to broaden my prospects with my blog. I look forward to meet bloggers from other cultures and learn from their practices, especially Anglo-Saxons, who have a few years of advances against francophones in terms of professionalization of their blog. But as a first step, embracing 10 days of discovery of the Canada East! First step: Nova Scotia, with its capital, Halifax, a seaside town of first order (it is the second largest natural harbour in the world), then his wild side, with its capes, cliffs and the fishing harbours of Mahone Bay and Lunenbourg (classified world heritage of Unesco). Then, we go to New Brunswick, Moncton, including discover the culture of our "American cousin", the Acadians, descendants of the French settlers. With also Shediac, self-proclaimed world capital of lobster, with "the biggest sculpture of lobster in the world! The Bay of Fundy, which has "the highest tides in the world... The Hopewell Rocks Park... with "the most beautiful rocks of the world" (nan... for that one, I laugh... but for the other two, it's true!)After this first part of journey focused on the maritime provinces of Canada, then place in large cities. Montreal first, in Quebec, I am very impatient to discover! Then Toronto, Ontario, the "the most cosmopolitan city in the world" (if if they are United Nations which say... with 50% of its inhabitants who are of immigrant background)! For this part of the city, I have the chance to benefit from the advice of Marie-Julie Gagnon, a figure of the francophone travel bloggosphere, located in Montréal, which I diligently read the blog for several years and that I am eager to meet.So to follow any of this Canadian adventure, I give you appointment here on my blog, as well as on the tumblr of Canada where will be published all the post of the participating bloggers or on their Facebook page. On Twitter, using the hashtag to follow, it is #ExploreCanada. You can also win an exceptional journey, the great crossing of the Canada by train, from Vancouver to Halifax! All news are here. A very fast!
